Happy Sunday!

I just finished yoga, wandered through the farmers market and baked a delicious frittata. The sheets are in the wash and we are taking a mid day siesta to watch It’s Complicated by the one and only Nancy Meyers.

I figure there is no better time to hop on my site and share what facial products I’m currently loving and using. I tend to use up products at the same time and do a mini restock when needed. And that restock happened this weekend. So without further ado, here are the products that I feel most confident recommending.

I am tempted to say that serums are the most important step in skincare because that’s where you can pack in the hydration, nutrients and vitamins, but I might believe that a cleanser conquers all. If your skin isn’t clean and balanced, the following products won’t layer well or penetrate thoroughly into your skin. If you like a gel cleanser, this is my all time favorite. And when my skin flares up or is sensitive to the cold, I opt for a soothing cleanser like this or this.

After that, I use a toner or spray and move onto serums. I love the Marie Veronique balancing hypotonic and my current favorite serum is a good vitamin c. I am never without the IS Clinical pro-heal serum, which has a good dose of vitamins c, a and e, and a little goes a long way.

Lastly I follow up with a cream or oil. This one is a miracle worker. I do alternate retinol and masks throughout the week, though it’s taken me some time to get the hang of balancing exfoliation and hydration. The glass mask by Agent Nateur is a good one for every day use and most definitely has an appropriate name. It has ingredients like aloe vera, peptides, cucumber and lactic acid which makes for a light and soothing exfoliant. I use this when my skin feels dehydrated and in need of a quench.

I will do a second round of the extras — masks and eye creams and everything of the sort, but for now I’ve added a few of my tried and trues below.
