This morning practice is one to live by - I usually wake up and hop to it, except for the occasional day I’m feeling slow to rise and read a chapter of a book. No matter the start, one thing remains the same as soon as I get out of bed. I open the shades, open the doors in our bedroom and family room. I welcome sunlight and fresh air into the home, and it’s the most simple ritual to establish. This feels especially good when the air is crisp. A flow of energy, a gentle wake up and a symbolic way to greet a new day. I’ll usually fill up the diffuser with blend of spruce, grapefruit and eucalyptus, then it’s off to pilates or work.
This is a sure way to wake up on the right side of the bed… but here are links to a few other things I rely on beyond the pockets of sunlight.
